The attention, shock and horror caused by the recent catastrophe involving the pollution of the Gulf of Mexico has got me wondering why so many people aren’t concerned about the larger spill occurring earth wide. The massive yet slow distribution of various petroleum products above the water-line of the oceans has been growing for years. Most of us continue to shower with them, wear them on our skin, spray them into the air we breathe, build everything imaginable out of them and burn them to create even greater havoc and chaos. I’m not trying to regurgitate the doom and gloom scientists have already been predicating for years, but draw attention to the irony of the situation. The reality is not just that the earth is going to need a continent sized quicker-picker-upper, but we do too. Our bodies have continued to absorb and wrestle with the worst oil spill ever; the conscious decision many of us have made for years to coat ourselves in thin clear coats of black gold. The fail-safe nature of the technological oil rig monstrosity was too good to  be true, just as the lie that the small quantities we rub and mildly coat our young ones with everyday will do them no harm. I’d like to thank my wife for dripping the green, sweet and safe natural essential oils on me and my family. The benefits they have brought to my friends and family make that act one of the most responsible and caring things she has ever done. This latest crisis reinforces the recent decision we made to start using certified pure therapeutic grade oils and work against the lie many of us have been living. And by today’s standards, it’s turned out to be the best oil spill ever. – Peter
